My name is Chris Wilkes, I have two dogs, Zeke and Zoe and live in Ft. worth, Texas. I value effective communication, honesty, hard work, my faith and living life to the fullest. These are values and principles I carry into my business as well. I am a full-time Firefighter for the city of Waxahachie, TX. I decided to become a Professional Home Inspector in addition to my job as a fireman because I have a passion for helping people, Im observant, detail oriented and I have always enjoyed building construction and its progressive nature.

As a child, I didn't play with my toys by imagining what they could do. Instead my action figures became pieces; arms, legs, torso, head. It revealed the joints and how they were able to articulate. I would look at it, figure it out, appreciate it, commit it to memory, put it back together and move on. My curiosity and mechanical inclination would drive me to take them apart, just to see how they worked and what they were made of, then I would put them back together. Similarly, being a home inspector is fulfilling for many reasons and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve you in this capacity!

I attended the American Home Inspectors Training (AHIT), completing approximately 394 hours of training to become eligible to take the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) Professional Home Inspectors exam. I passed the national and state portion of the TREC exam to become a Professional Home Inspector on my first attempt.

Through my education I learned the ins and outs of building construction, how to inspect homes for deficiencies and was honored to spend many hours learning from long time professionals of the trade. As a Fireman, I have experience working with people during crisis situations, as well as, approaching homes and buildings with various issues that are in need of resolution. This type of critical thinking and troubleshooting coupled with my training through AHIT has developed me to be a part of this great industry of helping others through an important and significant life choice of purchasing a home.

Similar to my responsibilities as a Professional Fireman, as a Professional Home Inspector, my desire with each and every client is to offer sound advice. Purchasing a home is a big deal and everyone deserves to be well informed and at ease through the process. It is my belief that during times of stress people need compassion, clarity and guidance. Purchasing a home is an incredibly exciting time! However, it can be stressful. My hope is that my inspection will help guide you in your decision because I understand the importance of your investment. I want you and your family to enjoy your investment, not become burdened by it! I would be honored, to serve you and your family in this way.

Thank You!

Chris
